Steve & Cait’s Beautifully Unique Wedding at Clubhouse on Highland

Some weddings just fit right into the Elevated vibe — unique, stylish, and filled with unforgettable moments. Steve and Cait’s October 5, 2024 wedding at Clubhouse on Highland was exactly that. From their ceremony at the base of the iconic staircase to the cherry-topped heart-shaped cake and a dancefloor that didn’t quit, this day was a joy to be part of.

Celebrating This Season of Engagement

Before their wedding, Steve and Cait had an engagement shoot at Juniper Cocktail Bar and around the streets of Birmingham with their photographer Alyssa Rose. We always love seeing couples engagement photos, because it’s not just about beautiful photos and getting comfortable in front of the camera — it’s about building trust and comfort with your photographer. By wedding day, you already feel like friends, which shows through in every candid and emotional moment. We love our photographer friends and their creative craft, can’t you tell?

This Ceremony Called for the Kleenex

Their ceremony took place at the base of the ICONIC grand staircase at Clubhouse on Highland, framed by moody wild florals and foliage. Steve and the officiant made their entrance by descending the staircase, while Cait walked through the front doors of CHOH — a moment straight out of a movie.

Cait wore a vintage-inspired off the shoulder gown with a half-up hairstyle, her veil cascading as her dad walked her down the aisle. Once at the altar, he pulled her veil back — a simple, classic, touching transition that felt deeply meaningful. Together, Steve and Cait exchanged tear-filled vows, sharing promises with each other and with everyone gathered. Then it was time to send the newlyweds back down the aisle! They both were absolutely beaming with happiness (giddiness) walking into their new life together.

Porch Toasts & Vintage Cake Dreams

After a few family portraits, the couple skipped the waiting game and headed straight into cocktail hour, mingling with guests and their photographer snapping impromptu friend photos.

Toasts followed on the cozy front porch of CHOH, where there were equal amounts of laughter and tears. Dinner soon gave way to one of our favorite details of the night: the iconic vintage heart-shaped cake adorned with dark cherries and fresh flowers. Truly a showstopper.

The Outfit Change & Dancefloor Magic

Right after cutting the cake, Cait surprised everyone by changing into a lace halter drop-waist gown and the perfect finishing touch — dancing boots! That set the tone for what came next: an unforgettable dancefloor.

Steve and Cait had carefully curated much of their cocktail and dinner playlist, blending their favorite songs with the right vibes for their guests. For dancing, we collaborated with them to make sure the music struck the perfect balance between indie favorites and crowd-pleasers for all ages. The result? A packed floor all night long, with friends and family rushing to join the newlyweds after their first dance and beyond.

The Perfect Sendoff

After the dancefloor rager, guests lined up out front of the Clubhouse for the sendoff. But first — a private last dance. Steve and Cait took one final moment together, just the two of them, soaking in the joy of their wedding day before stepping out to cheers and goodbyes.

Congratulations, Steve & Cait!

Steve and Cait’s wedding was a perfect reflection of who they are — unique, stylish, and full of energy. We were honored to bring the entertainment to their day and help create a dancefloor that matched the magic of their love story.
