Rebecca and Grant: A Birmingham Love Story
Rebecca and Grant’s wedding day unfolded like a love letter to timeless elegance — layered with emotion, tradition, and nonstop joy — all set inside the iconic ballroom at Thomas Jefferson Tower in downtown Birmingham.
The day began with the sweetest getting-ready moments, surrounded by their closest friends and family. Laughter filled the rooms, nerves mixed with excitement, and you could feel just how loved Rebecca and Grant are by everyone around them.
Tears Before “I Do”
One of the most emotional moments of the day came early: Rebecca’s first look with her dad. The instant they saw each other, the tears flowed — a reflection of their incredibly special bond.
Not long after, Rebecca shared her first look with Grant, and it was just as meaningful. In a quiet, private moment, they exchanged personal vows filled with both laughter and tears — words meant only for each other, grounding them before the whirlwind of the day ahead.
Then it was time for group photos of friends and families on both sides; everyone was so excited to come together to support this sweet couple. We absolutely loved the black bridesmaids gowns (perfect for this venue!), and Grant’s green suit stood out in the best way, & a special nod to his love of plants! Of course we can’t forget our stunning bride Rebecca, who’s wedding gown was absolutely stunning, paired with pearl adorned bow heels, pearl dotted veil, and pearl earrings tied the look together.
Under the Chuppah, Forever Began
After portraits with one another and their families and friends, it was time for the ceremony!
Before walking down the aisle, Rebecca and Grant participated in the signing of the ketubah, a traditional Jewish marriage contract signed by two witnesses. Historically created to protect and provide for the bride, the ketubah today stands as a cherished and often beautifully customized symbol of commitment, partnership, and shared values.
Rebecca and Grant were each escorted down the aisle by their parents, and then were married beneath a stunning floral-adorned chuppah during a traditional Jewish ceremony. The chuppah symbolizes the new home and life they are building together.
Following the breaking of the glass, and sealing it all with a kiss, the couple recessed to “Signed, Sealed, Delivered,” and joyfully made their way back down the aisle!
Cocktails, Conversations & Golden Hour Air
While the ceremony space was transformed for the reception, guests moved into the bar and terrace area for cocktail hour. With perfect weather overhead, everyone enjoyed drinks, took photos in our GLAM photobooth, left messages on our audio guestbook, had their watercolor portrait made, and had joyful conversations on the terrace — the excitement before the party.
Once the reception space was ready, guests were invited back inside for dinner. Rebecca and Grant chose to share a private meal together after sneaking away for a few newlywed photos — a quiet moment to soak it all in before the celebration continued.
Then came their grand introduction into the reception, followed by their first dance, parent dances, and cake cuttings. Once everyone had their sweet treat it was time for toasts from Rebecca’s Dad and Sister, and the Best Man.
One of our favorite touches? Rebecca and Grant made their way around the room, table by table, taking photos with every group — a true testament to how much their people mean to them.
A Night That Felt Like Them
And then… it was time to open the dance floor. We had the unique honor of DJing under the chuppah, transforming it into a full DJ booth with our tube lights, turning the reception into full party mode!
From the very first song, it was an absolute rager. The room erupted during the Hora — the joyful, high-energy chair-raising dance that symbolizes the community lifting the couple as they begin their life together — it was unforgettable. After the chair-raising it was time for Rebecca to change into something more easy to dance in — a sparkly champagne party dress and classic white tennis shoes — then she was ready to hit the dancefloor.
The dance floor stayed packed all night long with hits from Taylor Swift, Chappell Roan, Jonas Brothers, One Direction, Waka Flocka Flame, and plenty of other classic dance-floor must-haves — keeping the energy sky-high from start to finish.
Late night snacks (aka dancefloor fuel) included Dippin-Dots, different types of popcorns with flavor sprinkles and candies, and cake leftovers from earlier in the night!
The Cats Became The Stars of The Show
Rebecca and Grant’s photobooth experience was thoughtfully designed to feel just as personal as the rest of their wedding day.
The photobooth prints featured their custom wedding crest, designed to complement their florals and cleverly hide their cats within the artwork, making the design both meaningful and uniquely theirs.
Guests were welcomed with a curated collection of props — including custom cat head cutouts of the couple’s beloved pets, which quickly became a fan favorite!
Guests took home keepsake prints while also adding an extra copy to a photo guest book, where they left handwritten notes, well wishes, and congratulations — creating a tangible, joy-filled memory book Rebecca and Grant can flip through for years to come.
To tie everything together, we also projected their wedding crest onto the reception wall, turning a meaningful design into a statement piece.
