AnaKate & Zachary’s Fall Wedding at Mathews Manor
Fall in the South has a way of making a wedding day feel especially inviting. The sunshine is warm without being too bright, the evenings begin to cool off, and venues like Mathews Manor feel right at home surrounded by the season’s softer colors and cozy atmosphere.
AnaKate and Zachary’s October 19 wedding brought all of that fall charm together with a beautiful outdoor ceremony, a candlelit reception, thoughtful guest experiences and a dance floor that stayed busy well into the night. From the very beginning, every detail felt intentional — and it was clear that this was a couple who had put a lot of care into creating a celebration that felt completely like them.
A Picture-Perfect Fall Ceremony
The ceremony started with some of the prettiest fall sunshine, filling the outdoor ceremony space at Mathews Manor with that warm October glow.
White rose petals lined the aisle, while the bridesmaids stood in sage green dresses carrying delicate white baby's breath bouquets. AnaKate's own bouquet brought in a little more color with a mix of white flowers, blue blooms and eucalyptus.
And then came the entrance, AnaKate made her grand entrance from across Mathews Manor's picturesque bridge before making her way to the outdoor altar. It was such a beautiful way to start the ceremony.
We provided the ceremony sound, making sure that every part of the ceremony could be heard clearly.
From the Picturesque Porch to a Candlelit Reception
After the ceremony, guests had a quick cocktail hour on Mathews Manor's iconic wraparound porch before heading inside for dinner.
The reception space felt warm and cozy, with long family-style tables filling the room and candlelight setting the mood. It was the perfect contrast to the bright sunshine from the ceremony earlier in the day.
Let’s Get This Party Started
After dinner, it was time to officially introduce the newlyweds and get into the rest of the reception festivities.
AnaKate and Zachary shared their first dance, followed by toasts and cake cutting. And then there was only one thing left to do: Open the dance floor!
The music was a mix of current favorites, classing sing-alongs, and plenty of 2010s throwbacks — exactly the kind of combination that gets everyone from college friends to parents and family members out of their seats.
By the end of the night, the dance floor had gotten its workout!
There were also a few especially personal moments throughout the night, including a sorority song to AnaKate with her ADPi sisters.
Those are the moments we love most as DJs. Yes, we're there to keep the dance floor moving, but we're also there to create moments that mean something to the couple and the people they've brought together.
The Photobooth Was a Guest Favorite
AnaKate and Zachary opted for our photobooth with prints, props and a guestbook — and they added one of our favorite personal touches: their dogs were included in the photobooth print design!
Naturally, guests loved it.
People could grab a prop, take a few photos, leave a copy in the guestbook and write a message alongside it. So instead of just having a gallery of photos from the night, AnaKate and Zachary also ended up with a book full of little notes from the people who celebrated with them.
It's one of those details that becomes even more fun to look back on after the wedding.
And Then There Was the Audio Guestbook...
If the photobooth was popular, the audio guestbook phone was on another level.
By the end of the night, guests had left 37 messages for the newlyweds.
And apparently even the phone needed to join the party for a minute — it actually made its way onto the dance floor at one point.
We love when guests really get into the audio guestbook because the messages end up being such a fun time capsule of the wedding. You get the sweet messages, the funny ones, the slightly chaotic ones and all the voices of the people who were there celebrating with you.
A Perfect End to a Fall Wedding
Before the night officially came to an end, AnaKate and Zachary stepped away from everyone else for a private last dance — just the two of them taking in the final few minutes of their wedding day.
Then it was time for the sparkler sendoff.
From a sunny outdoor ceremony and a bridge entrance to candlelit dinner, 37 audio guestbook messages, dog-themed photobooth prints, 2010s throwbacks and a packed dance floor, AnaKate and Zachary's wedding was full of thoughtful details that made the day feel completely personal to them.
There are weddings where you can tell from the very beginning that the couple has thought through every single detail — and AnaKate and Zachary’s wedding was absolutely one of them.
From the XL wedding binder to the multiple planning meetings, AnaKate came prepared. We knew the timeline, the music, the little details, the things she loved, and the things she definitely wanted a certain way. And honestly? We love a couple who knows what they want. It makes it even easier for us to create an experience that feels exactly like them.
And after seeing just how much planning AnaKate put into every part of it, we were so happy to be there to bring the plan to life.
