Ashlee & Cole: Faith, Family, and a Packed Dancefloor

Ashlee and Cole’s wedding day was the perfect mix of meaningful moments, high-energy celebration, and classic Southern charm—right down to their sparkler and cowbell sendoff. Hosted at The Barn at Shady Lane, their big day was beautifully planned, fun-filled, and full of personality from beginning to end.

A Private First Touch

Rather than sharing a first look, Ashlee and Cole chose a quieter, more meaningful moment together before the ceremony: a first touch. Back-to-back, they held hands, exchanged private vows, and took time to pray together before saying “I do.” It was a deeply personal way to connect without seeing each other before the aisle walk—one of those rare wedding day pauses where time slows down just a bit.

Indoor Ceremony + Stunning Reception Reveal

Their ceremony took place indoors at Barn at Shady Lane, surrounded by friends, family, and soft natural light filtering through the windows—it was intimate, joyful, and filled with happy tears. One detail we especially loved? Cole was escorted down the aisle by both of his parents. While some grooms choose to walk solo, having his parents by his side was such a meaningful way to arrive at the altar as a united front—symbolizing two families coming together.

After the ceremony, the space was quickly transformed into a dreamy reception setting during the room flip. While guests enjoyed cocktail hour, we brought the reception to life—switching on ambient uplighting and casting their brand-new last name in lights on the large wall behind the dance floor. From the room reveal to the last song of the night, this monogram display stole the show and made for an epic dancefloor backdrop.

Powder Blue Perfection

Ashlee and Cole’s color palette leaned into springtime elegance with powder blue woven throughout the day—from bridesmaid dresses to table linens to the stunning floral design. Paired with crisp whites and greenery, everything felt light, fresh, and timeless.

Sweet Surprises + Sentimental Moments

After a lively reception entrance, they went straight into their first dance as a couple and then their parent dances. The sweetest moment of the evening was revealing that Ashlee recorded a version of her singing the father/daughter dance song as a surprise for her dad and all the guests. It was an emotional and unforgettable highlight of the evening. After a few happy tears, it was time for the cake cutting (and that much-needed sugar boost before the dancefloor opened up).

Dancefloor Traditions + Party Energy

Ashlee and Cole’s crowd came ready to party—and their dancefloor did not disappoint. Once the music kicked off, it stayed packed all night long. Their playlist was a perfect blend of fun throwbacks, party anthems, country favorites, and a few personal touches that made the night feel uniquely them.

We kicked things off with high-energy crowd favorites like “Footloose,” “Cupid Shuffle”, and “Hey Ya!”—which was a special request from the father of the bride! Later in the night, we mixed in everything from “24K Magic” and “Yeah!” to “Starships,” and “Sweet Caroline.” It was one of those nights where every song had people yelling “That’s my jam!” and rushing back to the floor.

There were plenty of moments for line dances (“Wobble,” “Macarena,” & “YMCA”), some throwback hip-hop (“Baby Got Back,” “Get Low,” & “Ms. New Booty”), and of course a few iconic sing-alongs like “I Wanna Dance with Somebody” and “Friends in Low Places.”

They also brought back a couple of wedding traditions we don’t see as often anymore: a bouquet toss & garter toss! If you want to do these traditions - do them! If they aren’t your style, we will have just as much fun without.

Pro tip: Want a fun twist on the bouquet toss? Invite all the single guests—not just the ladies—for an extra competitive moment.

From start to finish, their playlist kept the energy high and the memories unforgettable. Trust us—this crowd knew how to throw down on a dancefloor! And while Ashlee and Cole were obviously the stars of the show, their custom monogram projection behind the dancefloor was a close second. Lit up with ambient up-lighting and proudly displaying their new last name, it made every photo pop and was the perfect statement piece for a celebration this fun.

A Private Last Dance + Classic Sendoff

As the night wound down, Ashlee and Cole took a private last dance to soak in the final moments of their reception. It was sweet, quiet, and gave them space to reflect on the whirlwind day together.

Their exit? Classic in the best way. Guests lined up with sparklers and custom cowbells (a Southern touch we’ll never stop loving), and the newlyweds took off in their own car—with the trunk decked out in ribbons, of course!

Ashlee and Cole, thank you for letting us be a part of your celebration. You two brought joy, style, and a whole lot of fun to every part of the day—and it was an absolute blast from start to finish.
